Brief Description:

Along the banks of the Potomac River is over 400 acres of forest, wetlands, and meadows. Spectacular wildlife viewing for birds and wildflowers are highlights through the seasons. Canoeing/kayaking and fishing are popular river activities. Over 12+ miles of hiking trails offer scenic views of the river. Picnic areas make for relaxing afternoons with family and friends.

The Virginia Indian Festival celebrates Native American culture in the state. Programs, camps and events uncover nature's clues for all ages.
Location / Directions: From the Capital beltway (495) take exit 44 Georgetown Pike, Route 193 west 4.5 miles to a right on Riverbend Road go 2 miles to a right on Jeffery Road. Proceed 1 mile to the park entrance on your right.

Operating Hours: Park grounds are 7am-dusk, closing hours posted. Park is closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Visitor Center is open 9am-5pm Monday through Friday, closed on Tuesdays, March - December and noon to 5pm January - February. Call ahead for holiday hours.
Fees: No entrance fee.
Boat launch is $5 for individual launch and $40 for a season pass.
Reservable picnic shelter. $100.
Visitor Facilities: Visitor center, nature center, picnic pavillion, picnic tables, boat ramp.

Accessibility: Handicapped parking is provided and accessbile restrooms are located inside the visitor's center.
